The Blue Jackets Hockey League is excited to offer three opportunities to Try Goalie, providing young players a unique opportunity to experience the goaltending position in a fun and supportive environment—completely free of charge! This event is designed for players aged 6-9 years old who have little to no experience playing goalie but are interested in giving it a try.

Trying goalie for the first time can be an exciting and eye-opening experience. For many, this introduction sparks a lifelong passion for the position and the game of hockey. By giving young players the chance to step into the crease in a no-pressure environment, we hope to inspire confidence, curiosity, and maybe even the next great Blue Jackets goaltender!

This event is designed for players that want to try goalie for one of the first times. Please bring and dress in full player gear. We will provide quick change gear, appropriate for all ages included in this event, so that the players can wear over their player gear.

Players will arrive at the rink, get dressed as a regular skater, and then we will place Quick Change gear on each player. During the session, there will be coaches and more experienced goalies to help your child get more comfortable in the gear.

Please arrive 30 Minutes prior to the session to check in.

**To allow for more players to try goalie, please only sign up for one session. During the season, your child will have time to play goalie.

REQUIRED GEAR

Players provide their own Skater equipment:

• Helmet with cage
• Gloves, elbow pads, shoulder pads, shin pads, jock/jill, hockey pants
• Hockey stick
• Hockey skates
• Neckguard

We will supply the Quick Change Goalie Equipment.

Q - Will you have gear available to borrow?

A - Yes! We will have Quick Change Gear available for players. All players need to wear the full skater equipment because the Quick Change gear goes over it.

Q - Which ages can participate?

A - Children aged between 6 and 9 years of age can participate in this program.
