We're excited to announce our 8-year-old age up additional sessions, designed specifically for young athletes born in 2016, who are aging up to the 10U age group next season.

About the Sessions: Over the course of six weeks, these on-ice sessions will offer a mix of intensive drills, activities, and scrimmages, created to prepare players for the competitive atmosphere to gain additional focus on preparing for 10U hockey. It's not just about enhancing skills but also about getting a real feel for some differences in rules and game play. This also gives your child one extra ice session per week for those who are wanting to be on the ice a little bit more given their experience level.

Expert Guidance: Led by our experienced Blue Jackets Hockey League Development Coaches, along with dedicated team volunteer coaches, each session is structured to provide personalized guidance and support. This is a unique opportunity to learn from some of the best in the league and gain valuable insight from players and coaches from different rinks.

Session Details:

• Dates: Every Saturday, January 11 - February 15
• Location: Chiller Ice Works, Chiller Dublin, and Chiller Easton
• Cost: $150 for skaters and $100 for goalies for the entire 6 weeks.

Prerequisites for Participation:

• Age Requirement: Participants must be born in the year 2016.
• Experience: We require at least one year of participation in the Blue Jackets Hockey League.

Important Note: Please be aware that if your child has only joined the Blue Jackets Hockey League in the Winter 2025 season, they will not be eligible for this program. We believe in ensuring that all participants have a foundational level of experience to benefit fully from these advanced sessions. Rest assured, any player who doesn't meet these criteria but has registered will be respectfully removed from the program and issued a full refund.

Why Join the 8-year-old Age Up Additional Sessions? This is more than just practice – it's a comprehensive preparation strategy to support the regular Blue Jackets Hockey League programming. Not only will players sharpen their technical skills, but they'll also gain confidence, learn and practice what will as they age up for next season. The benefit of the extra ice session per week allows for a different focus within the practice design.
